The combat has been updated and is the most fun it has ever been in a SK game. It feels a little a lot more fluid than the previous game and is on par or better than SV/Valkyrie Drive. I'm really happy with the changes and additional content they've added to the remake. If you're a fan of the series, you absolutely won't be dissapointed, it's the best SK yet and the port is excellent. It might be worth noting that it is locked to 30/60FPS but that's not a problem for me personally. If you've never played a SK game before, this is a great starting point as it is a full remake of the first game. You're not missing out on anything by playing this over the original and I honestly find it a lot more fun. It's a light-hearted mission-based game, with similar mechanics to Dynsaty Warrior games along a ton of fan service. Most missions will be over in less than 5 minutes, and there isn't much complexity or challenge. The combat is genuinely fun and satisfying, but it is pretty simple and very easy to play. Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal as the title suggests, is the renewal/remastered/re3d/remade of the original Senran Kagura Burst, making it the second game in the series. For those of you that haven't played the original Senran Kagura burst on the Nintendo 3DS, myself included, this game is what I would call a Lock-Your-Door Third-Person Hack'n'Slash RPG.You play as one of the descendent of the real life historical Japanese characters if they were ninjas. This includes famous names such as Hanzo Hattori, Yagyu Kyubbei/Yagyu Juubei/ Yagyu Munenori, Masamune Date from that one Anime, Kankoro from Naruto, this game has it all.I would say the combat style of this Hack'n'Slash stands between Dynasty Warriors and every other Hack'n'Slash Anime you've ever played in your life. It's a lot floatier your typical Samurai Warriors like Warriors Orochi, but a lot more grounded than (name an anime hack'n'slash here).I got less than an hour on this game as of writing this review so I can't tell you whether the story is good or not, but it's an Anime game so it's a hit or miss. But I can tell you right now that the plots are very interesting so far.The game looks great, it feels great, it gameplay is great, the music is subjective and the plots are amazing. The only complaint I have with this game is that sometimes you get this huge FPS dip when you're fighting a lot of enemies or if you're indoor for some reason so look out for that but otherwise, I rate this game a 10/10/10 it's a great game. I swear I play it for the plots.. anime tiddie. Only discovered this series in the past year so was nice to get to see the origin story of some of them. Had a couple of crashes and frame drops but overall was solid game and looking forward to more! I have EV and PBS on the PS4 but between the way Sony is being and how well this perforemd on PC see myself getting the rest on this platform in the future.. At first I had to get a refund, becuase the game was running really bad and I was very disappointed. They fixed the problems though and I bouth the game again. It runs fine now and it's a lot of fun, just like all the other SK games. Worth a try.. Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal is a modernized remake of Senran Kagura Burst for the 3DS. It offers the same fast paced hack-and-slash gameplay that Estival Versus does, with various changes. I’ve found the difficulty in Burst Re:Newal to be preferable over Estival Versus'. In hard difficulty, enemies seem far more tenacious than they ever were in Estival Versus, which makes up for the shorter mission lengths. Bosses require you to pay attention to their moves, and counter as much as possible; that is if you intend to beat them efficiently to get a good ranking. Unlike Estival Versus, you will not be facing regular Computer Players, with fixed stats, that can go down with one or two finishers (Secret Ninja Art).The game has two stories: Hanzo and Hebijo. Both stories take place in their own timeline, and center around their respective group of Shinobi Elites. Generally, the story is about a conflict between the two group of girls, and how it helped them grow as Shinobi, and as friends. I found both timelines to be enjoyable, and the chemistry between the characters to be very endearing, especially in the Hebijo timeline (although I recommend new players to start off with Hanzo).. They remade the first game as a EV clone with less characters and the burst meter. So if you played and liked EV you will like this one, and they even reused a bunch of assets from EV, from the areas, to the character models, so if you are fine with that and want more of EV then it might be worth it. I already rambled on about this game when the japanese version came out and I had the collectors version of that imported. About the only thing I missed out on was the plot since I can't read japanese, and it's actually suprisingly well done at times considering it's a game about ninja schoolgirls with exploding clothing.
